What’s a celebration like a wedding without refreshments for one’s guests? Even back in the day when wedding receptions were about popcorn, there was always at least one drink served to each guest. In keeping with this mode of celebration, Crown Beverages Limited (CBL), under its flagship brand, Pepsi, is partnering with the Bride & Groom Expo to celebrate with Ugandans.
“Reinforcing our position as the number one choice for all occasions in the country, we have come along way with Ugandans. We want to continue with the tradition. We want to celebrate every passion and occasion, be it sport, music, school achievement, a traditional marriage or a wedding. This Expo is just one of those opportunities we surely could not afford to miss,” said
Elizabeth Mutamuliza, the media manager for CBL.
She added: “We shall showcase our global refreshment brands and additional support we extend for any event or occasion like tents, chairs, chilling tubs, delivery and top class customer interactions.”
Pepsi is not just coming on board as a key sponsor for this year’s Bride & Groom Expo, they are also among the sponsors of the “Win a Fantasy wedding” promotion pegged to the Expo. With this promotion, a lucky couple stands a chance to win a wedding of their dreams worth sh80m, in which all but the wedding rings and church (or other setting for exchange of vows) will be paid for, through the services of the top notch service providers in the Ugandan wedding industry.
Speaking about the promotion, Mutamuliza said: “For us, it’s not just a promotion, but simply associating and celebrating with Ugandans. This is an opportunity to say thank you for supporting CBL over the years. We have no doubt we shall remain in business as they will continue to choose our brands available country wide in every slightest refreshment opportunity or moment.
In the same spirit of celebration, Nile Breweries, under its ever-growing popular brand, Castle Lite, is also joining the Expo for the second time. Last year was their first time to partner with the Expo.
“Our participation in the Expo last year helped out our brand out there and the demand for our product has increased,” said Julian Sentamu, the Premiums Brand Manager of Nile Breweries.“We are going to introduce a package for events/functions with the draught beer which relieves planners of the hustle of finding ice and the ice bins, empties/glasses which, in most cases, have to be deposited on.”
The Bride & Groom Expo is the biggest wedding event in the country, with over 10,000 people visiting the Uganda Manufacturer’s Association New Exhibition Hall.
“The opportunity to experience our rich brand and pack portfolio and our fluid offers for every celebration/occasion or moment in people’s lives. For those who will not come, they will miss an opportunity to interact with our leadership as well give us feedback so us to serve our consumers and customers even better,” said Mutamuliza.
The Expo will be on from June 22 to 24 at a fee of only sh10,000.
